What is Raw hair?

The term “Raw hair” refers to natural, unprocessed, human hair. Raw hair is usually obtained from the temple and then converted into hair extensions. For hair to be considered raw no chemicals can be used in any steps of this process. Raw hair is usually sun dried to avoid having to apply direct heat to it. When raw hair is collected it is gathered in a ponytail and cut off of the donors head in one cut. The hair is then banded in a bundle to ensure hair doesn’t mix with hair from other donors.

Raw hair is thick and full from top to bottom sourced from one single donor with the cuticles in tact which makes all raw hair virgin Remy hair as well.

Raw hair vs processed hair

Raw hair extensions and processed hair are completely different in every aspect. From the way its collected, how its processed, longevity and cost. Raw Hair:

  • Untreated, unprocessed. No dyes. No cleaners. No Bleach
  • Sourced from one single donor, not mixed with any other hair.
  • Last 2-3+ years with proper care
